Mari Samuelsen performs at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London
25/8/2021
On 28 August, Mari Samuelsen performs at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London. The open-air concert marks the premiere of Max Richter’s Voices, a piece that taps into Richter’s ideology of music as activism and features text adapted from the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Written and created by Richter and Yulia Mahr, Voices is one of the pieces to be performed in the Saturday night concert.
The event follows Mari Samuelsen’s spectacular concert at the Bergen International Festival that was broadcast around the world. She returns to the stage on Britain’s holiday weekend to perform alongside the Max Richter ensemble, conductor Robert Ziegler, soprano Grace Davidson and choir Tenebrae.
The concert begins at 5:30pm with Mari Samuelsen taking centre stage at 9:15pm
